VOTED THE BEST DIVE BOAT ON THE EMERALD COAST!
The “Sea Cobra” is the fastest, most comfortable dive boat in Destin. She is 45′ of diving pleasure. The “Sea Cobra” has a spacious deck with bench seats, tank racks, and two easy entry giant stride points. She also has two drop down ladders for easy access getting back on board the vessel. The “Sea Cobra” has a large cabin for equipment storage and passenger comfort and is equipped with a clean marine toilet. Powered by twin 892 Detroit Diesel Engines, she will get you to the dive sites quickly, allowing divers maximum dive time and maximum FUN!
Our most popular charter is a 4-hour, 2-dive trip to Destin’s natural limestone ledges, wrecks and/or artificial reefs. The first dive is generally a natural limestone ledge to depths of approximately 80-90 feet, and about 3-10 miles from the Destin East Pass. The second dive could be something shallower, such as the “Miss Louise Tugboat”, one of several barges, or Destin’s Bridge Rubble, with depths in the 55-70 foot range.
ScubaTech conducts daily dive charters aboard the Sea Cobra. Reservations for SCUBA diving need to be placed by phone so we can rate your experience level and ask you a few questions.
- Have you dived the Gulf of Mexico before and how long ago?
- When and where was your last dive and how deep was it?
- What is your level of certification?
Check-in time for the Sea Cobra dive charters is 1-hour prior to departure time at the ScubaTech Dive Shop. Please be ready to present your certification card and dive experience prior to charter. After completion of the required paperwork and having secured any rental equipment needed, you will then proceed to the Sea Cobra docks at the Marina across the street from ScubaTech (314 Heron Harbor)
Please note that the Gulf of Mexico does not usually offer visibility necessary to be able to guide a large group of divers as in the Caribbean. If you have never dived in the Gulf of Mexico, to a depth of 90 feet, in somewhat limited visibility, or have not made a dive within the last year, we recommend hiring a Divemaster to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable experience.
***Where we dive is determined by wind, weather, and boat traffic. We never know ahead of time where the dive site might be.***
