Nancy was certified as an Open Water Diver in 1980 and became an Open Water Instructor in 1982. She earned her USCG Captain’s license 1989 and achieved Master SCUBA Diver Trainer status in 1998. Nancy is an SSI and PADI Instructor. She is also a Factory Trained Service Technician for several equipment manufacturers and certified DSAT Gas Blender.
Carla was certified as an Open Water Diver in 1987 and received her Rescue Diver rating in 1991. Carla’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, running the dive store, entertaining customers. A close encounter with Carla will not soon be forgotten.
Tommy Browning Jr
Tommy started as the Mongoose snorkel boat captain in May of 2016. He holds a One Hundred Ton Captain’s license and is Destin native.
Marianne began working at ScubaTech around the New Year of 2013. She was discharged from the Air Force after 11 years of service, and worked as a contractor for a few years before joining us. She has been Advanced OW certified since 2010 and works in the shop conducting retail sales, answering phones, and updating the website, among other things.
Greg was first open water certified at ScubaTech in 2007. As with many divers, he fell in love with the sport and decided to make it his career. He has since graduated the prestigious International Career Institute at Halls as an SSI Advanced Open Water Instructor. Greg is also a PADI Open Water Instructor, PADI Emergency First Response Instructor and Medic First Aid Instructor. Originally from the UK Greg has proven himself as a valuable asset to the ScubaTech crew.
Adlai moved to the US from Israel and holds a dual citizenship. He came to work for ScubaTech in 2009 thru 2010, after the BP oil spill he returned to Israel to attend school and teach diving. We are happy to say Adlai has returned this year and is working at ScubaTech once again. Adlai graduated the prestigious International Career Institute at Halls Diving as an SSI Advanced Open Water Instructor. He is also a PADI Open Water Instructor, PADI Emergency First Response Instructor and Medic First Aid Instructor.
Tim is primarily the divemaster on the Sea Cobra and sometimes captains the Mongoose. He holds a One Hundred Ton Master Captain’s license and is an SSI Advanced Open Water Instructor and PADI Open Water Instructor. Tim has been involved with ScubaTech for many years and we are glad to have him as one of our valued crew.
Dawn and Mike Holrath
Dawn was first open water certified in 1999 and began teaching in December 2004. She is a PADI IDC Staff Instructor, Handicap Scuba Association Instructor as well as a PADI First Response Instructor. She can also divemaster and is a trimix gas blender instructor. Dawn is often joined by her better half, Mike, as her helpful assistant.
Diving since he was 9, Jon has been diving all over the world and in all kinds of conditions. He retired from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Underwater Investigation Unit in 2011, where he was the commander. Jon is an SSI Open Water Instructor, Swiftwater Rescue Instructor, Police Diver Instructor Evaluator, Emergency Medical Technician and a Cave Diver. Though an instructor, Jon really enjoys being a divemaster and helping our customers have the best diving experience they can.
Jacob has been the deckhand on the Mongoose for the past year. He was open water and advanced certified last year and recently completed his rescue diver certification.
Sean just started with ScubaTech as our first mate aboard the Sea Cobra this year. He is also certified as a master diver and is a member of the Scubaholics Dive Club.
Tom has been a customer of ScubaTech’s for many years and we eventually decided to give him a job. He works on the weekends as our tank man as well as helping customers when needed.
Savanna has been around ScubaTech since birth. She was certified as a Jr. Open Water Diver at the tender age of ten and is now an Advanced Open Water Diver with many dives to her credit. During her summer vacation she can be found working hard at the store answering the telephone and conducting retail sales. She is very knowledgeable and is considered a valuable asset to the business.
